LOCAL LOVE: Explore Midtown

Midtown Association Sacramento
Our monthly Local Love section is where we celebrate the businesses and organizations that make Midtown Sacramento feel like home. This month we feature Midtown Association! Midtown association champions small businesses, keeps the neighborhood clean and safe, and fills our calendars with can’t‑miss community events. Over the years we’ve donated massage gift certificates for events that they’ve put on, and I’ve worked with them personally. It’s always a pleasure working with them.

Midtown feels easy to love with its walkable blocks, creative energy, and small businesses on every corner. A big reason why is Midtown Association, a nonprofit that champions our neighborhood’s small businesses and public spaces. They exist to keep Midtown vibrant, welcoming, and connected. Without even knowing it, you’re enjoying the cared‑for vibe you experience before and after a session at our studio.

There’s a reason they’ve remained so successful and relevant to the City of Sacramento. Behind the scenes, their Clean & Safe crew is out picking up litter, removing graffiti, power‑washing sidewalks, coordinating with city partners, and generally keeping an eye on things so the streets feel inviting. Creating blocks that are pleasant to walk, shop, and unwind on.

They’re also the spark behind many Midtown favorites, like the Midtown Farmers Market, Second Saturday Art Walk, and the Fresh Air: Midtown Parks series of free outdoor wellness classes.

I’ve seen their support up close when I served as President of Yoga Moves Us. I teamed up with Midtown Association to launch Yoga in the Park at multiple parks throughout Midtown (current schedule here). They are responsive, and truly community‑first from day one. Fellow business owners in my circle say the same. If you love Midtown like we do, follow @exploremidtown and check their events calendar and plan to explore Midtown before or after your next massage.
